The men, who are so different, become so close that one day Pieper asks the young man for a big favor. Arnold has a capricious and rather volatile daughter named Lale, who, in his opinion, gets up to a lot of mischief in Europe. To put an end to this, Pieper quickly asks Richard to marry Lale, who is unknown to him. In order to make the marriage attractive to him, the fat old man also offers “prize money” of $5,000, which the poor student could really use.

A wild, eight-year-old girl is puzzling the Thai authorities. She was picked up in a town on the edge of the rainforest. The chief of police asks the renowned German child psychologist Dr. Julia Wagner, who works in an international private clinic in Bangkok, for help. She touchingly takes care of the child. When everything seems to be going well, the girl's father comes into the picture: Has he been wrongly accused of kidnapping his wife and child?

The girl Amina leaves the jungle for a meeting on a plantation in order to improve the connection between the partisans and the workers.

The 'Bulle' is a real tough cop. When he helps a girl being harassed by rockers she steals his car and gun in return. Wanting his stuff back, 'Bulle' follows the girl to the frontier of Holland where she gets caught by German border policemen. The 'Bulle' knocks out the policemen in order to get his gun back having to take the girl, too, as she threatens to be a witness. Thus both are being chased making up a strange friendship.
